MEL B has let rip about her split with love rat EDDIE MURPHY.

She has revealed the odd couple had planned to get spliced at Christmas - until she fell pregnant with their daughter Angel Iris.

And The Spice Girl is furious with Eddie for suggesting she got pregnant on a whim.

Mel said: "Of course we planned this. It happened quicker than we expected but it was perfect timing.

"We planned to get married at Christmas.

"But then we had to change it once I got pregnant and we decided that after the baby was born we'd get married.

"This was a completely planned pregnancy.

"This wasn't some random: 'Oops I fell over and I'm pregnant.'

"I don't live my life like that.

"I'm a responsible parent and have been a responsible single parent since I got divorced. This is the one thing that really annoys me.

"If I wanted to have a baby I would have had a baby a long time ago.

"I wouldn't have waited eight years to have another one."

WILDCHILD LINDSAY LOHAN was arrested for drink-driving and cocaine possession yesterday after a 2am car chase.

The troubled Mean Girls actress was said to be over the limit as she pursued the terrified mum of her personal assistant, who had resigned hours earlier.

Cops said the mother called them saying she was “afraid”. Officers arrived to find Lindsay, 21, yelling at her in a car park in Santa Monica, California.

Lindsay, who has just ended a second stint in rehab and was wearing an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet, tried to flee the scene without her shoes on, but was grabbed by officers.

She could now face FIVE YEARS’ jail as this is her second drink-driving and drug possession arrest in months.

Cops who took her to the city police station said they found cocaine in her jeans pocket.

Lindsay’s arrest photo shows her spotty-faced and bleary- eyed. She was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended licence and possession of cocaine.

Police station sources said Lindsay, who earlier attended a pal’s party, was unco-operative in the cells. She was freed several hours later on £12,500 bail.

County Sheriff’s spokesman Lt Alex Padilla said the assistant’s mother had not known Lindsay was at the wheel of the car that began chasing her.

He said: “She wasn’t sure what was going on so she called us.” He said he didn’t know why Lohan — in a Denali SUV — was chasing the woman.

Just days earlier the actress, who has dated CALUM BEST, had turned herself in to police to face charges over an alleged drink-driving incident in May.

That time, she crashed her Mercedes into a Sunset Boulevard tree. The star — who also faces a hit-and-run charge over that incident — entered rehab soon afterwards, admitting she was hooked on drugs.

After leaving rehab for the second time, she volunteered to wear the anti-alcohol bracelet.

But last night her lawyer admitted she had relapsed.

Blair Berk said:“Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed.The bracelet has now been removed.

"Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease."

Lindsay's Mum DINA said: ""We are doing everything in our power in support of Lindsay and I won't give up – this is my daughter and we love her.

"I am sick over this," she told The Insider. "My children, my family, we are like prisoners in our own home because paparazzi [are stalking us] outside [our]home. Lindsay is in a safe place, and we are trying to strategically work out our next step."

Lindsay’s arrest throws her career into fresh crisis. She was yesterday due on a TV chat show to promote her latest movie, but had to pull out.

Host Jay Leno joked: "You know, we had Lindsay Lohan booked for our show tonight, but apparently she was already 'booked.'

"I thought our competition was Letterman and Nightline, but it turns out its Cops and America's Most Wanted."

TROUBLED BRITNEY SPEARS suffered a shocking meltdown as she babbled incoherently and vomited on her dress at a photoshoot, it emerged last night.

Fears are growing for the troubled pop princess, and insiders warn that the shocking photos “could kill her career”.

Sources said the star behaved erratically after visiting the toilet during the photoshoot for OK! magazine, which took place in a Hollywood mansion last Thursday.

One witness said: “Britney was in a shocking state. She was babbling incoherently, talking in baby talk. She didn’t make sense.

“Britney appeared to be out of her mind. She went to the toilet and when she came back she couldn’t continue with the interview.

“Her eyes were rolling back, she was talking nonsense. She ate some food and vomited over her Gucci dress. She was a mess.

“She also seemed to be hallucinating, and kept saying strange and worrying things. The pictures are shocking and most of them are unusable.

“They paint a frightening picture and could kill her career. She looked like a young COURTNEY LOVE.”

Insiders said Britney, 25, refused to use a top make-up artist hired by magazine bosses and insisted on doing her own make-up, which was smeared and badly applied.

After the disastrous shoot, magazine bosses spent hours debating whether to show Britney as she was or produce a softer version of the photos.

But last night they confirmed they would print the photos unchanged.

Editor-in-Chief Sarah Ivens said: “OK! magazine spent a heartbreaking day with Britney Spears and witnessed first-hand an emotional cry for help that will leave you shocked and sad. This week, the truth will be told.”

The photoshoot disaster is the latest in a series of bizarre Britney outbursts.

Last week she allegedly slapped her mum LYNNE during a heated row over her sons SEAN PRESTON and JAYDEN JAMES. Hours later the star stripped to her bra and knickers on a Malibu beach to take a dip in the sea, screaming and posing for photographers.

In another bizarre incident, she was seen in her Mercedes with Sean Preston sat on her lap instead of in a car seat.

After pulling over, Britney’s bodyguard was seen carrying Sean and handing him to her friend, who placed him back in the rear of the car.

Then, a wild Britney ran at photographers ranting that their shots of her were illegal.

The singer went into rehab earlier this year after she famously shaved off her hair herself in a Los Angeles salon before attacking photographers with an umbrella.

Her ex JASON ALEXANDER has claimed Britney downed dangerous cocktails of drugs including cocaine and pure ecstasy, and attempted suicide by guzzling painkillers.

Britney has admitted trying drugs but said it was “a mistake”. Her spokeswoman was last night refusing to answer calls and emails.

POSH and BECKS managed to turn a star-studded LA welcome party for them into a fashion statement.

Victoria turned up in sky-high heels and her trademark little black dress.

David wore a rather tight grey suit, which the lads in the office thought looked a little too snug around the Goldenballs.

IN possibly a world record-breaking 4244 words-per-minute, six-time world speed reading champion ANNE JONES has read the final instalment of J.K. Rowling’s monumental, spellbinding epic series.

Taking just 47 minutes 1 second to read the 759-page book Anne delivers the first review of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows since it went on sale at midnight.

So is the seventh instalment worth the wait?

The final showdown between Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived, and his arch-enemy Lord Voldemort, He Who Must Not Be Named, is a classic good-versus-evil tale on a par with Tolkien’s Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

The book is very dark — right from the start there is fighting. Characters start falling left, right and centre.

However, there are some lighter moments too.

There is a lot of background detail delving into Dumbledore’s murky past, with his family members playing a vital part in this finale.
 

And the Ministry is infiltrated by Voldemort's warriors — bringing to mind Nazi Germany.

Final instalment ... what happens to Harry?
 

The actual confrontation with Voldemort will satisfy fans — it is superb.

As the title suggests, Harry concerns himself with the “Hallows,” which are three magical objects said to make the possessor the Master of Death.

There are many surprises, one of the biggest being Snape, who it would seem is working for Voldemort but then saves the day by giving Harry crucial information. But does he live or die as a consequence?
 

Harry's best friends Ron and Hermione prove to be formidable foes to Voldemort's army but is there any truth to internet rumours that one of them meets their demise at his hands?

The book, in parts, is frightening but when all is said and done, J.K. Rowling has left an ending fans will be very happy with.

The final chapter fast forwards 19 years to the future and is an epilogue of what happens to the main characters.
 

Without being too critical, the plot does seem to be a bit complicated — but I would not change a word.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows is a real page-turner (literally).

SHE'S dressed up as a school-girl, an air hostess and a dominatrix – now here's BRITNEY SPEARS resembling a PROSTITUTE on the set of her new music video in LA.

I'm not quite sure that was the look she was going for.

But the black studded knee high boots, long black wig and bum-skimming mini-dress will certainly have people glued to MTV.

The video - filmed in an LA warehouse - is Britney’s first in two years and is reportedly for her new single, Get Back.

A eye-witness said: "Britney was strutting around the set in such a bizarre get-up - she looked like a cross between a hooker and a widow.

LINDSAY LOHAN was yesterday officially arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) back in May.

She took herself to a police station in Beverley Hills and was released on a £15,000 ($30,000) bail.

According to the official Los Angeles Sheriff's Department website, Lindsay was held in custody for about an hour around 4pm.

She is scheduled to go to court on August 24 and a prison sentence, like the one received by her on/off pal PARIS HILTON, is possible.

Lindsay was first in trouble with police in May when she crashed her Mercedes SL-65 convertible on LA's Sunset Boulevard.

Cops investigating found what they believe was a "useable amount" of cocaine at the scene but refused to say where the drug was found.

Meanwhile the fruity actress made a meal of eating just ONE cherry.

Instead of chomping it down in one go, she looked at it lovingly, smiled at it and sucked it like a lollipop.

Lindsay was snapped at a West Hollywood eaterie.

The actress has given up alcohol after the DUI incident and a stint in rehab.
